Position Summary

Select Maintenance LLC. is seeking a motivated Field Engineer to join our Dallas-Fort Worth Division. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to launch their careers in heavy civil construction while working alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Operations teams.

The Field Engineer plays a key role in supporting daily project operations by coordinating field activities, tracking production, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times
  • Support quality control efforts to ensure work meets project specifications
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and survey needs for field crews
  • Track daily and weekly production through quantity reporting and timecard review
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and measure completed work
  • Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and owner representatives
  • Prepare and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and documentation
  • Maintain accurate project records and reports
  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or any Engineering degree required
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Previous internship or construction experience is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required
  • Ability to work days, nights, and weekends based on project needs
