We are very pleased to announce that Ragle Inc. is seeking an Equipment Accountant who is interested in working for an established company with great advancement opportunities. Our Southern Division is seeking team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented individuals who are looking for new learning experiences and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success. This is a Monday–Friday, in-office position located at our North Richland Hills office.

The Equipment Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities related to company-owned and leased equipment including trucks, trailers, heavy machinery, and field assets. This position supports the accounting team with asset tracking, reporting, and compliance functions to ensure accurate and timely recording of equipment-related costs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and equipment registers, ensuring accurate tracking of all equipment-related costs, acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Monitor and prepare reports for equipment usage, fuel card transactions, toll tag records, and fleet costs.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for equipment-related expenditures, supporting both accounting and operations.
  • Work with project management teams to ensure equipment usage is correctly billed and allocated to the appropriate jobs.
  • Coordinate with shop and fleet operation teams to ensure equipment is properly tagged, tracked, and accounted for across active job sites.
  • Support monthly close by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations related to equipment and asset activities.
  • Work with auditors to support fixed asset and internal controls compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or asset-intensive industries.
  • Familiarity with fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and general ledger processes.
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience building and maintaining detailed equipment usage and cost reports, using pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and other functions to analyze and visualize operational and financial data.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work across departments.
